Introduction

Located in the center of Beijing, Beihai Park covers an area of 690,000 square meters, including 390,000 square meters for water. It was called Yaoyu (literally the Isle of Precious Jade) in the Liao Dynasty and was established in 1166AD (the 6th year of Dading period of the Jin Dynasty). It used to be a royal place for sightseeing, government affairs handling and sacrifice by emperors and the imperial families of the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the earliest and best preserved imperial garden in the world.

Free ticket policy
  • Free admission for children under 6 years old (including 6 years old) or under 1.2 meters tall (including 1.2 meters);
  • Visitors aged 60 and above can enter the park with their passports;
How to use tickets
  • Please show your e-ticket QR codes and the corresponding Passport used to purchase tickets for verification when entering the park according to the time and date of visit.
  • Please pay attention to the deadline time for checking ticket. On the day of your tour, please make sure that you can enter the scenic spot before the deadline time. Otherwise, you will not be able to go into the scenic spot, but the ticket has been checked at the gate already that the ticket cannot be refunded.
